The 6 en-suite bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the panoramic views of the sea, Seal Point surf and the beach break are breathtaking and exhilarating. The safe swimming beach is a short walk (about 100 m) down the path.

The two lounges are spacious, elegant and comfortable. The lounge balcony upstairs is ideal for a relaxing read and the verandah downstairs perfect for breakfast.

We are situated about 50 m from the beach and the rooms have spectacular views.

ACCOMMODATION


Guests have spectacular, panoramic views of the beach and ocean from the bedrooms, private balconies, both lounges, the dining area and the pool terrace - ideal for whale and dolphin watching. The antique Cape Dutch furniture, from the late 1800’s, complements and warms the spacious rooms. A Fynbos garden surrounds the house, boasting with many plants in this rare and endangered plant group as well as those used for herbal and medicinal purposes.

At Lyngenfjord House guests experience many typical South African traditions, especially at the lavish breakfasts and superb dinners. Rare and typical South African dishes are served, including plants enjoyed by the Khoi, thousands of years ago.Vegetarians are at home here. The local calamari, which is considered superior on world markets, fresh fish and venison dishes (Springbok and Blesbok) surprise guests in a new experience.

The tourist, who normally lives in cities and wishes to break away from a hectic jet-set life, will be pleasantly surprised by the natural beauty of Cape St Francis. The 3 km pristine beach between Seal Point and Cape St Francis, has a healing effect on the soul of the guest, who had to rush through our great country to enjoy and see as much as possible in too short a time. It is safe to swim and Seal Point is a world renowned surf spot. The village is surrounded by four nature reserves. The walkways, clearly marked, present easy relaxing and refreshing walks along the coastline, round our famous historical Lighthouse and more inland through the Irma Booysen Reserve. There are many interesting activities locally (information available on request).

Cape St Francis is the ideal base for nearby adventures and outings, which include canal and river cruises, visits to local game parks, as well as Addo and Shamwari, a visit to the Baviaans Wilderness area, the Bread Basket of the Kouga region at Hankey and Patensie, many cultural sites like the Sara Baartman Grave and the Kouga Cultural Centre and the beauty and exhilarating adventures of Tsitsikamma. It is also the ideal stop over to or from the Port Elizabeth Airport, a mere 115 km away.

Directions

Leave the N2 at Humansdorp and travel south through the town. At the bottom of the Main Street T-junction, turn left on R330 & continue for 28 km or to the end of this road. Drive into Cape St Francis, turn left into Da Gama Rd at the first stop street. Turn into President Reitz (3rd street to your right). The 1st street to your left is Lyngenfjord Rd and we are the big yellow double storey on your right
