Thandekayo Guesthouse enjoys beautiful views of the bay and the mountains in a peaceful and secure surrounding. We have five high standard rooms, all bathroom en-suite.
A heated swimming pool, beautiful landscaped garden, comfortable lounge and breakfast are there for your comfort. Thandekayo is Zulu and means: "Warm welcome in our home". Thandekayo Art Gallery Guest House is situated in the quaint seaside village of Hout Bay, on the Atlantic seaboard of the Western Cape of South Africa. The Republic of Hout Bay, as its residents affectionately refer it to, is a scenic twenty-minute drive from Cape Town. The guest house is located at the start of the garden route on the foothills of the amphitheater that guard the town in secure and scenic surrounds. From the balcony of Thandekayo one enjoys the breathtaking view of both bay and mountains in this beautifully scenic area of Southern Africa.



Thandekayo meaning “warm welcome” in Zulu offers 4 star luxury accommodation with five stylish African theme rooms, all en-suite. The guest house offering bed and breakfast, is owned by Anita and Martin Osner. Martin is one of South Africa 's top fine art photographic artists and the guesthouse displays exhibitions of his works as well as of other contemporary South African artists including renowned landscape photographer and close friend Koos van der Lende.

Hout Bay is one of South Africa 's most popular holiday destinations. Not only does it offer vistas of mountains overlooking a tranquil indigo bay, it is also a vibrant colorful seaside village representing the diversity of South Africa 's Rainbow Nation. In Hout Bay you can expect to; enjoy great cuisine, visit the bustling fishing harbour, go on a guided tour of the local indigenous community, take long walks along the beach, visit the art galleries in town, go horse back riding, take a drive along Chapman's Peak which boasts to be one of the most scenic routes in the world, visit nearby wine estates or frequent the infamous Cape Town Waterfront, book on a sailing charter, or just soak up the sun relaxing at the side of the pool.

Directions

Route from the airport to Thandekayo: From of the airport of Cape Town you go on to the N2 direction Cape Town. You have to take exit on to the M3 direction Rondebosch / Claremont. from the M3 you go right on to the M63 to Kirstenbosch botanical Gardens en Hout Bay. You keep on to the M63 into Hout Bay on the circle you turn right Victoria road, next road again right The Valley Road first left into the Lentedal and first right is Luisa Way number 14 on your left hand! Route from Cape Town to Thandekayo: From Cape Town direction Landudno/Hout Bay on the M6 you stay on the M6 And just before the first traffic lights in Hout Bay you turn left in to Victoria Road, First left in to Valley Road, again first left into Lentedal and first right is Luisa Way number 14 on your left hand!
