 Under The Milkwood is nestled into what is termed the “Old Kom”, a protected bay where traditional fishing boats bob up and down on the water. A scenic walkway runs the length of this boulder enclosed bay all the way to Slangkop Lighthouse, the highest light house in the southern hemisphere. With three bedrooms (one double bed, two single beds and one with a children’s bunk bed), two off-suite bathrooms, open plan living areas and separate patio and sun room, there is ample space for everyone to get their piece of this beach side paradise. The white sands of Long Beach are only a 5–7 minute walk from the cottage, ideal for swimming, surfing and fun in the sun. Or simply relax on the sun loungers on the patio.

The main lounge (with satellite TV) and kitchen area are open plan with glass doors leading into the informal lounge and dining areas. This entire area opens up via sliding glass doors onto the garden with its beautiful Milkwood trees, a rare protected species here in South Africa.

The third bedroom is located next to the main bedroom and has one children’s bunk bed able to sleep two children (or young adults). The bathrooms are separate from the bedrooms, the first bathroom has a bath, separate shower, toilet and wash hand basin, the second bathroom has a shower, toilet and wash hand basin.   
  
DirectionsFrom Cape Town International Airport take the N2 direction Cape Town. Exit onto the M3 (Rhodes Drive) to Muizenburg. At the end of the M3 T-junction turn right into Ou Kaapseweg (M42) (M64) and travel over the mountain. Turn right at the second traffic light to Kommetjie (M65) At the end of Kommetjie Road, turn right after Fishermans Restaurant and follow the road to the sea. Under The Milkwood is on your right at no. 1 Somerset Road.
